On February 22, the Taiyuan Metro Line 1 officially began trial operations. The fully automated metro trains, built by CRRC Dalian, have officially joined the Taiyuan rail transit network, thanks to their excellent performance and comfortable riding experience.
The design of the train is inspired by the herons ready to take flight in the Fenhe Wetland Park. The train body features flowing lines in "Dream Blue," while the interior adopts a blue-and-white color scheme to reflect Taiyuan's landscape. The trains are fully automated (GOA4 level) Type A with a 4-motor, 2-trailer, 6-car formation. They feature a stainless steel body structure, a maximum speed of 80 km/h, and a single train length of 140 meters. Each train has a rated passenger capacity of 1,602 people per train.
At the same time, the trains on Taiyuan Metro Line 1 are equipped with train gangways produced by Chongqing Yonggui. The gangway’s unique and aesthetically pleasing design, along with its safety and stability, contributes to a more enjoyable and comfortable travel experience for passengers.
